He was predeceased by: his father Jerold Shields; his grandparents, Ellaroy, Hilda Shields, Maurice and Therresa Rasmussen; and his brother-in-law Brett Shaw (Gene Anderson).
He is survived by: his daughter Brittanney Shields (Austin Michael Deal); his grandchildren, Chloe and Ayden of Hurricane; his mother Evelyn Shields of Sandy; and his siblings, M'Shelle Shaw, Jeffrey L. Shields of Salina and Patrick Shields (Annie) of Sandy. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
