He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Vernal and Eldrie Irene Sorenson Nielson; his son-in-law Darrell Warnick; his sisters, Enid Holt (Bill) and Pam Bagley; and his sister-in-law Gerri Nielson.
He is survived by: his significant other Rose Marie Magleby; his children, Vickie Lynn Warnick, John Phillip Nielson, Diane Marie Adams (Jerry), Julie Dawn Mutcher, Carl Duane Nielson (Carol) and Natalie Rose (Nicholas); his brothers, Dean, Stanley (Frankie) and Steve Nielson (Patsy); and his brother-in-law Jake Bagley. He is also survived by 46 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren.
