He was predeceased by: his parents, Nephi Nielsen and Lillian Ames Nielsen; his parents-in-law, Daniel Riley and Althera Riley; his siblings, Myrna Condie and Mardell Nielsen; his children, Michael Nielsen and Dana Thornock Rasmussen; and his sons-in-law, Nyle Thornock and David Ingram.
He is survived by: his wife Carolea Riley; and his children, Celeste Wilson (Steve), Mark Nielsen, Colette Ingram and Caroline Earl (Chris). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
