He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Erastus Ottesen and Ina Jemima Larsen; his son Mitchell McBride Ottesen; his siblings, Keith Ottesen, Sterling Ottesen and Karen Hoopes; and his granddaughter Madelena.
He is survived by: his wife Deanne Leone McBride Ottesen; and his children, Kerry Nichols (Todd), Kristine Finnerty (James) and James McBride Ottesen (Blithe). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
