He was predeceased by: his parents, James Braxton Carson and Sherril Christine Thede; his grandparents, Pal and Loa Thede; his brother-in-law Teddy Aaron Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Kelsy Schmutz Carson.
He is survived by: his children, Krystina Ann Carson (Adam Rosenthal), James Anthony Carson (Elisabeth) and Aaron Robert Carson (Tysha); his siblings, Lisa Matvey (Joe), Clifford Carson (Cris), Mark Carson and Jodi Hurtado (Ron); and his in-laws, Ted and Shirley Aaron. He is also survived by his seventeen grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren.
