He is survived by: his wife Joyce Murphy; his children, Cindi Harris, Dallas Murphy (Katherine), Patrick Murphy, Bonnie Johnson (Todd), Danny Murphy and Bruce Murphy (Katrina); and his siblings, Anna Mae Coulter, Ron Murphy (Cindy), Edwin Murphy (Christie), Don Murphy (Frances), Larry Murphy (Vicki), Rowena Burcham and Carolyn Mitchell (Garry). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
