He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Calkins and Hazel Estelle Rogers Calkins; his significant other Rosemary; his son-in-law Jeff Barker; his great grandchild Mila Calhoun; his siblings, Naomi Quentin and Delos Calkins; and his stepson Sam Riley.
He is survived by: his former wife Elsie Kauffman; his daughters, Shonie Barker of Roosevelt and Rodeana Shelton (Glenn) of Roosevelt; his grandchildren, Chad Barker (Natalie), Jesse Barker, Blake Calhoun (Andi), Whitney Jeski (Taylor), Jasmine Shields and Samantha Spitzer; and his close friend Bobby Chandler (Kathy). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
