With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Max David Rasmussen (Roosevelt, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Rasmussen and Telentha Timothy Rasmussen; his daughter Terry Sue Herger; and his brothers, Aaron and Verdon Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ceara, Chet, Matthew, Ella Herger, Vienna and Geneva Herger; and his siblings, Norman Rasmussen (Nedra), Heber Rasmussen (Ruth), Sharon Bleyl, Phoenix, Carol Huntzinger (Ron), Lloyd (Patricia), Georgia, Joe Rasmussen (Becky) and Rexburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ballard Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Roosevelt Memorial Park (240 US-40, Roosevelt, UT 84066).
He was a philanthropist and helped many people, whether it was bankrolling their startup business, to helping donate for missionaries to serve, or if someone just needed a place to stay until their house was ready, he freely gave.
