He was predeceased by: his wife Lois; and his grandson Benjamin Karl Betts. He is survived by: his parents, Ernest Edward and Vida Irene Collins Betts; and his children, Karla Heaton (Jon), John Betts (Jackie), Paul Betts (Julee), Guy Betts (Ada), Val Betts (Betty) and Dale Betts (Marilyn). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren.
