She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernan Hoffman Smith and Mary Ann Young; her husband Joseph Junior Hicks; and her siblings, Verleen Smith, Ernan Young Smith, Marion Kay Smith and Henry Ray Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Ward Hicks (Peggy), Sherlyn Olsen (Cliff) and Janilee Griffin (Russell). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
