He is survived by: his mother Rose Marie Murphy Bird; his former wife Sharon Gillis; his children, Tom Bird (Juanita), Tamara Hartwick (Kelly), Brian Bird (Cindy), Jason Bird (Callie) and Valerie Spradling (John); and his siblings, Donald Bird (Jackie), Christine McElhaney (Randy) and Althea Hardman (Ray). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
