It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Shane Szarek (Riverton, Utah), born in Bountiful, Utah, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

We have made the difficult decision to donate his brain for research to hopefully learn more about the cause of his illness and help prevent anyone else from enduring what he has had to this year.
