She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schaeffer and Barbara Schaeffer; her son Shawn Michael Chavez; and her brother Ricky Schaeffer. She is survived by: her husband Bob (Bob); her son Jason (Desiree); her siblings, Marianne Gentry, Debbie Parker (David), Karen Giambone (Bill), Greg Schaeffer (Dianne) and Kevin Schaeffer (Mary); her parents-in-law, Robert and Nadiene Chavez; and her sisters-in-law, Christine Finnegan, Polly Grizzell (Charles) and Reni Smith (Lynn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
