He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Dean Cox and Colleen Hansen of Virginia; his sister Nicole Cox; and his son Jared Cox. He is survived by: his children, Adam Cox, Nicholas Cox and Madison Cox; his wife Rickie Lynne Goldsberry Cox; his stepchildren, Shantele Mosman, Kristopher Petro and Jaquelynne Petro Elliott; and his grandchildren, Nickolas, Nikko, Bella, Bentlee and Emersyn.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to his favorite charities, i.e., UT Food Bank, Doctors Without Borders, St.Judes, Catholic Relief Services, or 4th Street Clinic.
