He is survived by: his mother Adel Thaxton; his children, DeeAnn (Andy Gibson), Monte Jr. (Rachelle), Amy (John Murray), Katy, David Roth and Berrett (Kay); his grandchildren, Andrew, James, Peter, Tatiana, Elizabeth, Tyler, Hannah, AJ, Ashley, Jason, Robyn, Travis, Jana, Aaron, Lindsay, Landon, Robert, Katherine, Adam, Christian, Shanna, Spencer, Molly, Clare, Tanner, Luke and Maddi; his siblings, Tamo (Angie), Rand, Meladi (Jerel Lindley) and Sula (Joe Bearden); and his grandchildren, Timothy Gibson and Christina Nygren.
