She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Clare and Viola Stone Card. She is survived by: her husband John Douglas Childs; her children, Christy McCarthy (Kevin), Steve Childs (Gloria), Kathleen Hayward (Dean), Jeff Childs and Ryan Childs (Kathy); and her brother Gary Card (Joan). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Eskdale Auditorium. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Eskdale Cemetery.
In her later years Alzheimer's began taking its toll.
