He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Henry Johnson and Maxine W Crittenden; his wife Lee Ann Johnson; and his brothers, Gary Norman Johnson and Dick Crittenden Johnson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Johnson, Dianne Hill, Carrie Sue Ditton and Bart Johnson. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
