He was predeceased by: his daughters, Gwynne Ratliff and Wendy Hawkins; and his siblings, Dorothy, Raymond, Harold, Margaret and Lenny.
He is survived by: his brother David Hawkins (Marsha) of Collinsville, IL.; his grandchildren, Chasity, Melanie (Steven), Shana (Jim), Gentry, Tabatha (Sean) and Krista (Tim); his great grandchildren, Des'Rea (Jacob), Carl, Braxton, Kadeyn and Jaxson; and also, Michael Davis (Heidi), April Davis Shamoun (Jimmy), Ethan and Gabriel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Fayette County Animal Rescue.
