He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Harnden and Belle Harnden; and his siblings, Esther Meeks, Shirley Young and Dennis Harnden.

He is survived by: his wife Carole; his daughters, Teresa Bass (Paul) and Cindy H. Petty; his grandchildren, Emily Meyer, Adam G. Bass, Hunter Jackson (Andy), Nicolle Marsh and Krit Petty (Cecilia); and his pet Charlee. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
