He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Ernest Turpin and Elsie Ethel Rushton Turpin; his stepfather Gordon Lovelace; and his sister Francis Joy Turpin Ricks. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Gardner; his sons, Jeffrey, Chad and Jade; his daughter-in-law Becky; and his sister-in-law Susann Gardner. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
