He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernal Albert and Lucinda Shepherd Christensen; and his brothers, Bud Shepherd, Bruce Ray Christensen and Kent Christensen.

He is survived by: his wife Leila Sorensen; his children, Michael Christensen (Kathy), Steven Christensen, Kim Christensen (Sonja), Sherry Trotter (Mark) and Sandee Loader; and his brother Ross Christensen (Emily). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
