He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lawrence Midson Sr. and Mazel Ophelia Burns; his brother Randy Burns Midson; and his daughters, Sherry Midson and Denise Midson.
He is survived by: his wife Elene Midson; his sons, Sonny Midson (Lesley) and Rick Midson (Mary); and his sister Marilyn Cox. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Richard had been battling Parkinson's Disease for the past four years.
