Duane R. Buchanan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane R. Buchanan of Richfield, Utah, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Darrell, Wally, Ruby and Jean; his son Kenny Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Abby.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Buchanan; his children, Cyndee Turner (Scott) of Richfield, D. R. Buchanan (Karen) of Richfield, Doug Buchanan (Karen) of Bear River, Wyoming, Maeleen Snow (Bryant) of Orangeville, Les Buchanan (Kary) of South Jordon, Leisa Hilton (Bret) of Bicknell and Jennifer Haywood (Jason) of Central Valley; his siblings, Jerry Steck of Ephriam and Gail Buchanan (Pam); and his sister-in-law Gail Buchanan of Manti. He is also survived by 62 Grandchildren, 50 Great Grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Calendar Fremont LDS Ward Chapel (24 S 100 W St, Loa, UT 84747). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fremont LDS Ward Chapel (24 S 100 W St, Loa, UT 84747). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Calendar Fremont Cemetery (850 W Ctr St, Utah 84747).
