It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John James Lockwood in Provo, Utah, born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though John James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Lockwood and Virginia Lockwood; and his brother-in-law Gordon Ramsey. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his daughters, Heather Woodman and Melinda DeBirk; his sister Nancy Ramsey; his nephew Doug Ramsey; and his niece Katie Ramsey. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Northridge Stake Center (1695 N 200 W St, Orem, UT 84057). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1674 N 200 W St, Orem, UT 84057).
In lieu of flowers, the family would invite you to pay for a missionary's meal, as John would do.
