He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clyde and Mary Maude O'Dell; his son Murray O'Dell; his granddaughters, Brittany and Tiffany O'Dell; and his siblings-in-law, Diane O'Dell, Arlynn High and Kenneth High.
He is survived by: his wife Ranelle Thaxton; his daughter Erin Garrard (Dale); his daughter-in-law April O'Dell (Murray); and his siblings, Marilyn Tauchen (Norman), Daniel O'Dell, Glenn O'Dell (Liz), David O'Dell and Phillip O'Dell. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
