We bid farewell to George Richard Sims in Provo, Utah, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2025 at the age of 91. George Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though George Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sims and Mary Estella Sims (Nixon); and his daughter Marcia Sims. He is survived by: his wife Charlsie Stevens; and his daughters, Linda Heikkila (Art), Julie Brinley (Derry) and Kathleen Draper (Bob). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Crandall Funeral Home (800 Uinta St, Evanston, WY 82930). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Evanston City Cemetery (526 County Rd, Evanston, WY 82930). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jamestown Assisted Living (3352 N 100 E St, Provo, UT 84604).
