“she could take it and dish it out with all my dad’s brothers and sisters. There was always an element of joy when she was around, and always so much laughter! She also brought a great deal of fun to any event. I remember one year, she dressed up as a California raisin, and sang, “I heard it thru the grapevine” in a contest at Halloween with 2 others. I think they even won a prize! Gail seemed to give my dad a purpose in his life, and helped him to set goals, both financially and with relations”

“I first met Gail thru my dad. From day one, she immediately started working on building relationships with dad’s kids; and helping him to repair existing ones. That was something I liked and appreciated about her. I remember hearing that she grew up across the street from my dad’s family, and that she was a few years younger than him. I also heard she had a crush on him growing up; and to many people it probably was no surprise when they got married. She seemed to fit well with the Doll clan;”
