She is survived by: her husband Gilmer Regnol Nielsen; her children, Trudy Nielsen, Robin Erdmann (Reed), Anna Woodard (Dennis) and James "Jim" Nielsen (Lisa); her siblings, Catherine Haycock (Wayne), Phylis Meyers (Will), Shirly McDaniels (Lonnie), David Peterson (Dianna) and Doug Peterson; and her brother-in-law Lewis Hansen.
