With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Milo Ward of Provo, Utah, born in Portland, Oregon, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though David Milo may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Newman Ward and Zeneth Ward; and his foster son Franklin Mannie. He is survived by: his wife Mary Smurthwaite; and his children, Debi Crandall (Jeff), Lori Mannie, Mike Ward (Carolyn Bentz), Betsy Ricks (Trent) and Cathi Finlayson (Mark).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sundberg-Olpin & Wheeler Mortuary (495 S State St, Orem, UT 84058). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
