He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Crandall and Edith Crandall. He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his children, Ellie Madsen (Andrew), Margot Crandall, Nicholas Crandall (Melanie) and Drew Crandall (Lincoln); his grandchildren, Art and Flora Madsen; and his brothers, Steven Crandall (Tami) and Bruce Crandall (Caren).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Nelson Family Mortuary (4780 N University Ave, Provo, UT 84604). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, please eat a delicious dessert in his honor.

“So very sorry to see such a good and bright man pass at a young age. I enjoyed bantering and clowning around with David -- such as Young Men camp in 2010 in the picture. I will always remember his idea of camping was to put his sleeping cot on top of a picnic table! His Young Women bonfires (conflagrations), were legend. See you in the not too distant future my friend.”
