He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Monroe and Jessie Carlow Ward; his wife Sue Ward; his siblings, Shirley Smith and Bill Ward; his son Justin Ward; and his great grandchildren, Anthony Call and Gabriel Ward.

He is survived by: his children, Tamera Ward Tobias of Eagle Mountain, Carey Ward (Nisha) of Taylorsville, Trisha Lemaster (Troy) of West Jordan and Jarred Ward of West Jordan; and his sister Colleen Norris of Draper. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
