She is survived by: her former husband James Edward Alexander; her daughter Jamie Thoman; and her grandchildren, Judy Scharffs, Grant Short (Dona), Robert Short (Margaret), Christian Thoman, Ashley Thoman (Aimee), Lindsay Bishop (Bryan), Kelsi Peterson (Jon), Jason Short (Kathy), Geoff Short (Karly), Stephanie Brown (Phill), Andrea Bingham (Jeff), Jessica Hyde (Ashton), Matt Short (Angela), Brad Short (Allie), Lacey Gatherum (Ryan) and Eric Short (Heather).
She asked the elementary school children to donate money for the stand.
