She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gottlieb Schiess and Varua Kennard; her son Jefferson; and her granddaughter Hannah Renée Hansen. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Edwin Jr. (Sharlene) of Rexburg, John Charles (Joann) of Riverside, California and James Omar (Lori) of Rexburg; her daughter-in-law Teri Larson (Jefferson Eric Hansen); and her siblings, Ken Schiess (late Sonja), Don (Faye Schiess), Boyd (Sheri Schiess), Jean (Darwin McPhie), Jan (Peter Mulder) and Toni Pray. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
