He is survived by: his children, Thomas Layne Richards, Carolyn Ray (Matt), Bridget Lloyd (Matt), Stacy Cook and Nick Srogus (Julie); and his siblings, Bob Richards and Barbara Barnum. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
