It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Wayne Thompson of Price, Utah, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thompson and Lois Rust Thompson; and his siblings, Eileen Pitcher and Charles Dale Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Jill Welch Thompson; his children, Emily (Felix), Eric, Michael, Scott and Christopher; his grandson Leif; and his sisters, Laura Maggard, RuthAnn Hubbard and Kathy Knuteson.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and caretakers at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray for helping Rick proudly defeat Stage 4 cancer, and then again for their tender and focused care during the last days of his heartbreaking battle with Covid 19.
