He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy McDonald and Gladys Minnie Olsen Roberts; his wife Jean; his daughter Marla T. Roberts Wheeler; and his brothers, Grant and Reid.

He is survived by: his children, Patty Linn Hevelone (Matthew) and Jan LeRoy Roberts (Audrey). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
