He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alice Eveline Johnson and George Otto Ellis; his wife Joyce Ellis; and his children, Kathy Lemon (Jerry) of East Carbon, Teri Stevenson of East Carbon and Kenneth Ray Ellis. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
