He was predeceased by: his wife Deanna; his granddaughter Mikala; his uncle Ray; his niece Jessica Axelgard; and his parents, Walt Axelgard and June Axelgard.
He is survived by: his children, Michele, Mickie, Mikala and Mikenzie; and his siblings, Wally (Leanna), Kevin (Bonnie), Scott and Julie (Ron). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
