He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hindman and Fleeta Kelly Hindman; his brother Harold "Ray" Hindman; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas H. McCrary and Esther Mendez.
He is survived by: his friend Jimmy Dale Hindman; his former wife Lela Dale Taylor; his wife Lela "Dale" Hindman; his sister Martha "Jean" McCrary; and his children, Jimmy Hindman Jr. Hindman (Noral), Roseanna Summer (Chuck), Julie Simpson (Bill) and Wendy Skelton (Monty). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
