She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Francis and Donna Mae Sherfick McKinnon; and her brothers, Robert "Bobby" and John. She is survived by: her cousin Connie Gragg; her husband Bob; her children, Lisa Gitlin, John Gitlin and Mike Gitlin (Genna); her seven treasured Grandies; her sister Suzie; and her brother-in-law Ray Madrid. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price in Janis' honor.
