He was predeceased by: his mother Rosa M. Ramirez; his grandparents, Erasmo, Ventura Ramirez Villa, Carlos and Eladia Gaytan; and his nephew Santos Ruiz, Jr..

He is survived by: his father Daniel Ramirez, Sr.; and his siblings, Sandra Ruiz (Santos) of Price, Utah., Daniel Ramirez, Jr. (Maria E.) of Price, Utah. and Laura Larsen (Brent) of Price, Utah.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
