He is survived by: his children, Cathy Lunnen, Christy Margetts (Cory) and Bill Baucom III (Julie); and his friend R'Lene Hoggan. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (105 W 1800 N, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

“I admire, respect and love Bill Baucom, my friend and mentor. He was a patriot! Whether he was speaking to a youth group or adults about the unbelievable conditions of war and the hardships he and his platoon faced, he was never negative or bitter towards America or the military. He was always proud that he could serve his country and grateful for God's mercy in preserving his life. I know he was in pain often but he was always about others and so generous, fun and I will miss him greatly,”
