She was predeceased by: her parents, James McEwan and Dorcus McEwan (Fowers); and her husband Jason Gibbons. She is survived by: her daughter Abigale Gibbons; and her siblings, Sandra Farley (Trevor), Melissa McEwan, Cynthia Frary (Robin), Richard McEwan (Amie), John McEwan (Mykin), Steven McEwan (Kaci) and Jaron McEwan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a great-niece and two great-nephews.
In October 2020, despite strict Covid protocols, she received special permission from the church authorities and went through the temple for the first time to receive her own endowments.
