He was predeceased by: his wife Aleisa Anderson Nelson; and his parents, Jane Nelson-Comp (Joe L. Comp) and Richard W. Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Jackson Edward Nelson and McKennah Ann Nelson; his sister Randi C. Nelson-Frausto; his niece Charli Jane Frausto; his in-laws, Ed and Janel Anderson; his sister Angie (Damon Morris); and his nieces and nephews, Devyn (Devon Anderson), Chad (Annie Anderson), Tashlyn, Jaden Anderson, Andrea (Jason Milne), Hayden, Hailey and Kendall Milne.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery (6200 W 11000 N, Highland, UT 84003).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Sterling's memory.
