He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin David Jones and Olive Louise Weyland Jones; his wife Roberta Joy Peebles Shirley; his sister Ruby; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Woolsey, Gordon Lowham and Tamera W. Jones.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Roberts; his siblings, Kenneth (Monica), Beverly Lowham and Bruce (Jennifer); and his children, Steve (Maurine White), Sharla (Wes Hill), Michelle (Jon Brinkerhoff) and Diane Ken (Tom Kanary). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
