He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Mahedy and Eva Mahedy (Wellington); and his siblings, Edward, Frank, Jack, Bill, Daniel Mahedy and Marilyn Aldrich.
He is survived by: his children, Rene Peterson and Michael Mahedy Jr. (Beki); his grandchildren, Dustin Peterson, Jamie Nielson (Justin), Derek Peterson (Tamara), Dillon Peterson, Nic Mahedy and Dara Phillips (Mike); his siblings, Margaret Nelson, David Mahedy (Deana) and Sharon Rodish; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Mahedy and JoAnn Mahedy. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
