He was predeceased by: his parents, John W Young and Minnie Irene Young; his wife Ellen C. Young; and his children, Joseph Lynn Young and Lucinda Young.

He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Vandevanter (Brian) and Suzette Reimschussel (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Joseph Lynn Young Jr., Crystal Kelly, Stephen Matthew Hall, Zachary James Hall, Tyler Coy, Benjamin Charles Wood, Laine Marion Hansen, Barry Curtis Hansen Jr. and Timothy Bud Hansen.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Timpanogos 4th Ward (425 E 500 N, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Timpanogos Fourth Ward Chapel (425 E 500 N, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062).
