He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauri Kari and Inga Peitella Suojanen Kari; and his son Rob Suojanen. He is survived by: his wife Kristy Lynn Bench; his children, Mike Suojanen (Rachel), Stan Suojanen and Jaymi Suojanen; and his siblings, Kenny Suojanen and Nora Lems. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
