She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Carter and Caroline Shoell Carter; and her daughter Cathy Weight. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Everett Smith of Pleasant Grove; her sons, Harold Smith (Lori), Jay Smith of San Jose, CA, Robert Smith (Terry) and Danny Smith; and her siblings, Melba Houtz, Pink Carter, Buck Carter, Gene Carter, Roy Carter and Carolyn Peacock (Gary Carter). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
