She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Walter and Elsie Mildred Barnhart Nielson; her husband Gene Bowers; her sons, Tony Bowers, Jerry Bowers and Coy Bowers; and her sister Sharon Curtis.

She is survived by: her sons, Dee Bowers and Val Bowers (Shirilee); her brothers, Bud Nielson, Bill Nielson (Ruth) and Dan Nielson (Chris); and her brother-in-law Newell Curtis. She is also survived by her 16 grandkids and many great grandkids.
